I've actually got an issue with this. People are making money off our club's name and not paying a penny for the privilege. Surely they aren't legally allowed to do that?

I think they get away with it because it doesn't actually say Altrincham football club

I wondered if that might be the case. It's well naughty and if these are to be produced for sale in our club shop I sincerely hope we make our own proper ones and don't give any money to parasites like this.

yeah, its because it just says Altrincham.

There's all sorts of stuff that says "Manchester reds"  and similar instead of manchester united.

I'd buy one from the club shop though.

It may not say Altrincham FC but it is
1) clearly aimed at football supporters
2) has a scarf in the famous red and white stripes

The guy also has stockport county and accrington stanley stuff which blatantly refer to the football clubs.

This is a club thing and it is wrong if someone is making money out of our club....wonder if the directors can pick this up and speak to the other clubs involved...a simple e-mail to e-bay should get this stopped if that is desired...or perhaps an e-mail to the seller demanding commission for using the name.

Unfortunately in the eyes of the law he is doing nothing wrong. Personally I think they are crap anyway.
