Not Alty, but I remember reading Darius Vassell drilled through one of his toe nails to relieve the pressure. He missed 3 games for Villa from the resulting infection.

Bromley game 7:00pm kick off, don't get caught out

Although the EFL, Prem, etc... would delay any decision as long as possible, would that mean that points deductions, fines, etc.. would be carried over from 19-20 to 20-21?

If City play in the champions league, where does that leave Bolton, could Bury mount another legal challenge, assuming of course that clubs survive the lay off.

I read the review again yesterday, there is a lot of stuff in it with actions for 2018, probably too much for the club to focus on in my opinion. I am always slightly perplexed by these sort of reviews because they touch every aspect of a business and point out areas that need to be addressed and lots of people run off to try to fix a bit, too many items and you cannot focus. If you have a couple of goals on top of your day to day life you can work towards them; however if you have 10, 20 or more it is improbable that you will reach them all.
For me as well as running the club and coping with all of the usual bumps in the road there should only be 2 or 3 target goals at a time.
First Team promotion is probably the first goal and most important, so once the lights are on at the club, any extra energy, time and resource needs to be focused there. As a fan I can influence promotion, I can turn up on Saturday, buy a drink and programme, enjoy the game and also encourage my mates to come along swelling the numbers, we can all see the league table so we can track the performance against the target, at the moment the target is still in focus.
But then what is the next goal assuming that those people involved have any time or energy left?
It could be the sale of shares, it could be promotion of the club in the community... there are any number of worthy goals, but again focus is key.
Loads of people do great work around the club from board members, to ground crew, first/ ladies/ reserve/ junior teams staff and players, press and media. Chapo to all of the volunteers

For me a review of the review or update would be a good thing, but I think it would be great to get a handle on what the current goals are, not a long list but what is top of the list and how I as an ordinary fan can relate to it and possibly influence if I have the skills or ability.

Today around 16-45 at salford

I'd say today in general.

I agree today. Not going, can't face it - going to have a BBQ on my own in the rain.

Great post Spring, I didn't walk out the other Saturday as it isn't my bag, but feel a sit down open meeting is as good a next step as any.

I quite liked Andrew Dawber. I accept that he is a young lad and made some mistakes, I am convinced that he will go on to make a good keeper and could have been an asset had we retained him.  He wasn't well protected during his time in goal for us, which maginified any errors he made.

We have not kept many clean sheets without him.

Great news, has this been tweeted by the club and added to facebook?

If so we can all like and share it and that way the message will a wide audience in no time, I cannot get on facebook from here, otherwise I would do it myself.

I don't agree.

Our club is on top of one of the country’s most affluent areas, but we don’t have a load of millionaire ex footballers knocking on the door asking to become board members or a queue of people wanting to put in the money and efoort to help the current board.

As we stand under the chairmanship of Graham Rowley and the effort put in by many within the club, now with Jim Harvey in charge we have a chance to get out this mess. If Graham were to resign tomorrow and I hope that he doesn’t then the job of recovery becomes all the more difficult.

Are you 100% confident on this?

100% in my opinion, not 100% certain that we can get out the mess, but looks to me like Mr Harvey is up for the challenge - I reckon he wouldn't have wanted/ taken the job if he wasn't confident that the board could give him what he needs.

The clubs below survived their relegation battles this year, under the new rules these teams would drop a league. How can the FA convince the boards of these clubs that it makes financial sense to take the drop.

Championship
Rotherham – survived but would get relegated from championship to new league 1

League 1
Oldham, Chesterfield, Fleetwood, Shrewsbury – survived but would drop to new league 2

League 2 Biggest Losers
Wycombe, Exeter, Barnet, Hartlepool, Notts County, Stevenage, Yeovil, Crawley, Morecambe, Newport – would be relegated to new league 3

If 6 or more voting league clubs are not convinced the changes don’t get passed.

I am not sure reserve teams will feature as such. I cannot see reserve teams working, they need grounds to play at and fans to come and watch. What if the 1st team get relegated or go bust. I think the reserve structure adds too many complications.

I would like to see major clubs adopting non-league clubs as feeder teams, giving their younger players an opportunity to run out on a Saturday and play against men, rather than run around mid-week in front of a handful of fans.

I am convinced football needs to change, but not sure if the plan will get passed. However as half of a famous Saturday lunchtime pairing used to say ‘it’s a funny old game’.

Got my season ticket this morning....as I'm G0001 that must make me Alty's Number One Fan 😄

Beat me to it, I got 2 and 3 and another three went just after me, as many have said a push on the ticket front would be great, it would be nice to hold on to some of the numbers that came to watch in the National League.

Outstanding 4th goal - I was convinced it one of the best goals I have seen in a good while on Saturday, watching it back tonight... pure quality.
