I agree. But somebody must think he is a good ref for him to be reffing at this level.

Uriah Rennie booked his way up into the Premier League so if he can do it I'm sure Mad Mo can as well. Competency and/or common sense have little to do with it.

As Ian will know and as I may have said in earlier threads if a Referee wants to progress up the ladder beyond the level of assisting at Blue Square North level then it becomes about ensuring that boxes are ticked, that the laws are applied and that instructions which are given to them are complied with.
Many of them don't neccessarily agree with what they are being told to do but, it's the same as in many other job, if you want to climb the ladder you have to do what those who control promotion tell you no matter how silly it may seem.
