I'm going to avoid being critical so i'm just going to make observations and ask questions.

McCarthy worked hard but doesn't look like a Conference player.
Why didn't Reeves start?
Joseph looks very vulnerable.
Hewson contributed very little (other than to get booked for diving in) when he came on but maybe needs time to blend in.
Spirited performance by Altrincham. Looked confident despite the run of results so far.
Where is Nicky Clee?
Good game for Coates. Maybe needs to develop a better understanding with his defenders.

He set the goal up...?

This is the first time this season I have really felt down after the match.

I just cant see how we can get out of this at the moment, unless we can get some new blood in fast.

Joseph - do us all a favour, when you leave the ground tonight dont come back.

Joseph is the biggest defensive liability that we've had at the club since Karl Munroe and Andy Scott.

Why on earth did Heathcote bring him on?

Or, more pointedly, why on earth did he sign him in the first place?

That was a golden opportunity to stop the rot against a distinctly poor team.

He'll come good I reckon. Ok, so he's a bit lightweight and missed a couple of chances but he was there to miss them. When have we recently been able to say that our centre forward could have had a hatrick? He obvioulsy knows how to find space and he hit the target more time today than we have as a team all season.

The boy gets my vote anyway.

Well, that makes me feel so much better.

Perhaps he should spend more hours practising his shooting and less time on Twitter?

Maybe he could eat some of Michael Twiss's dinner.

Welchy was knackered but surely Brown could have gone to left back, especially as he is a left back and Joseph isn't.... V strange substitution in hindsight

Ridiculous result. We had enough chances to win three games today, and four of which were the proverbial 'easier to score' kind.

I think there may be a sombre mood at the Meet The Recruits night. Oh, and surely this was Marc Josephs last game for us. Please!!

Joseph looks like he didn't know where he was playing, he was never covering the left wing, it wasn't like watching a typical bad player, he just seemed confused.

McCarthy seems to be a good attacker, but not a goalscorer.

So a like-for-like replacement for Dale ! And if anybody feels that HE wouldn't have buried that last minute "equaliser".......!

Obviously very disappointed with the result but we battled well and created quite a few decent chances. I saw enough today to suggest that once we get a win under our belt things could turn around quickly. The one worry for me is left side of defence.

Without sounding unneccesarily pessimistic can you honestly see where our next point is gonna come from let alone our next win?

Yes. seven points from the next three games is NOT out of the question Phil. Read my thread" Rub Of The Green".
