John Laidlar Gets My Hopes Up
« on: November 02, 2011, 10:59:10 PM »

"Former England and Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has joined recent signing Jack Redshaw’s growing list of admirers"

Up until the growing list of admirers I thought for one crazy moment he had signed for us!

I've never heard Paul Scholes speak before but he has gone right up in my estimation after that interview.  It's quality!

That is high praise indeed coming from a player of Scholes' quality and it really excites me that we now potentially have two prolific strikers at the club.

Paul Scholes never said much - however when he does speak I expect it is worth listening too

Well done Jack Redshaw for the impression you obviously gave one of the best players ever to grace a football pitch.

Not a too shoddy endorsement eh??

If Reevsey and Redshaw keep banging em in they could have me, Ecky, Hughesy and Dennis Birch in the back four and we would still be in with a shout

 ;) :D

Now you are getting carried away Ray, but I must admit if I was an attacker I wouldnt want to get anywhere near that defence! but Dennis wouldnt stay on the pitch long would he  :D :D

I wonder how Dennis would react to 90 mins of personal abuse if there was a deranged pensioner screaming at him all game.

I be he wouldn;t take it quite as well as Lawton and Clee do.

I might offer to play in goal behind that back four, on the basis that I couldn't expect too much stick if I let in a bagful. Not sure about the boy Eckersall though.....Kenny Palin anyone ?
