Personally i would start the same as Tuesday night after that peformance, including Fearon.
-
100% agreed, come on Alty
-
I'd bring lynch back in at right back, he wasnt far off on tuesday and when Flynn Is fully fit id have lees at left back and Flynn and williams in the middle.Feron has done well, but let's not put him under too much pressure,.
-
No matter what team you are, after a 6-1 win I don't think the side needs to be altered much at all. Not sure about Fearon though, he had a great game on Tuesday but a Youth Team player can't start every week.
-
Now, I don't know Matty Fearon and haven't seen him play, but if he's good enough and has played by all accounts extremely well when given his chance, then his age shouldn't matter when it comes to picking the team. If he deserves to be in on merit he deserves to be in.
It's then up to Lee Sinnott to keep his feet on the ground and ensure that he knows that he's under no pressure; and conversely that he's in because he's done well and Lee has faith that it wasn't a fluke.

don't change a team that wins six one away.

It's a nice problem to have. You put a youth team player in your starting XI for the first time, which on the face of it is risky, and the team plays so well that the players returning from injury aren't guaranteed to get their place back. If he can maintain that standard and we can also bring other youth players through in a similar fashion that would be brilliant!
I believe that you shouldn't change a winning team!

Lynch was brilliant at right back against Worcester, thats what we signed him as, yet he's only played there once. In my opinion he should get the nod against one of our playoff rivals, mattys time will come
-
Yeah I see your point mate.
-
I'd start Lynch, but only if he's absolutely 100% fit. Fearon was excellent on Tuesday night ( I told him so when he passed me on his warm-down) and I actually think he could come off the bench and do a job on the right of midfield just as well as he has at the back. He looked quite decent in that role when he came on pre-season against County and kept Carl Piergianni on his toes !
-
Not sure why you would change a winning team tbh. Fearon was brilliant one Tuesday and playe a big part of the second goal.

Good call, shouldn't change a winning team but need to take care of youth players.

Its a great position to be in when your youth team captain is causing you a selection dilemma. I'd go with him again, I see no reason we shouldn't. If it was, say, Lynch filling in for Lawton at right back and he had a great game then he would naturally be considered to start again the following game. In the interest of fairness the same should apply here, Matty Fearon deserves the chance to prove he has consistency about his game too.
-
Tough call this one. It does mean that Lawton is 3rd choice RB which is a good thing in my eyes.

Fearon added more of an attacking presence than Lynch
