Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Barnsley is Saturday 3pm - ALL TICKET
« on: October 29, 2015, 12:34:30 PM »
Despite the official site now having some more details on it there are still no details about how to get a ticket if you don't live in the immediate area or are not gunna be able to get to the Torquay game on Saturday.

Surely there has to be phone sales + postage at least for exiled supporters?

I hope they're not only gunna be available from the ground. There should at least be a way of postal ordering for us exiles

It may surely be advantageous slightly in terms of potential attendance to have it on a day other than the Saturday so it doesn't clash with the Man Utd game. I wouldn't be too upset certainly to see it on the Sunday. Friday night is the nightmare scenario for people like me living a distance away.

Surely it wont matter what happens on the day,
the segregation fences will need to be put up the day before at the latest I would think. Think its fair to assume they'll be there regardless even if its bright sunshine on Saturday, without a major upturn in the forecast.

Chester must have forgotten a couple of years back when they gave us an area of 350 seats for about 400 people!

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Formation
« on: October 10, 2015, 05:45:55 PM »
Wasn't really a 442 formation. Clee wide, Lawrie wide, Bowerman aimlessly meandering around.

Some nice stuff played at times but too often too intricate and quickly shut out.

Felt gutted for Griffin for the second goal. Had a reasonable game other than that but we were on top at that stage and that killed us.

Please never bring Rankine on again to play left midfield. Total waste of his talent.

Top support today, plenty of singing, certainly more than the official figure of 51. Bizzare match arrangements leaving the ground by walking on the pitch and the away turnstile being at the opposite end of the ground to away section.

I think Sinnott has improved from last year and in the games ive seen he's been no better or worse than anyone else

I agree, I think the show has a lot of promise to be honest and have been reasonably impressed by it. Decent succinct format which shows all the key incidents in a 30 minute show without time to get bored watching a 0-0 draw between Southport and Dover.

I think it will improve as the weeks go by.

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Dover Match Thread
« on: August 23, 2015, 10:06:26 AM »
Not everyone has the time and money to give up their whole day(7am-11pm) to travel to Dover. Credit goes to those who did make the trip from Alty. To say our support away support is pitiful is a bit out of order.

Sorry Pitiful was probably the wrong word to use but it was definitely the smallest following I've seen watching Alty, as you would expect given cost/distance lack of coach etc. I meant more exceptionally small given how many we normally take even to the further away games in previous years.
