Tall, thin and utterly futile, as I recall.

Didn't he also have loan spells at Southport and Vics, whose fans were equally unimpressed with him?

He was at Hereford as well.I thought he was quite promising when he was with us & he made one or two useful contributions, most notably in the fightback at Blyth (a pivotal game in our history in  my view) when he scored our first goal.I was also quite surprised to see that he is still at Crewe.

I agree brian, always sticks out to me as one of the most pivoal games in the clubs history,as does the whitby game from that season where their perfectly good leveller for 3-3 was waved away by the ref and liner some how.Also the BPA away game where even over 50's invaded the pitch was the game that got us promoted the following season for me.Kirk Hilton playing ballboy in shiney slip ons.
