Reevesie puts Shaw Lane 2-1 up against Barrow with what sounds like a class finish on BBC Radio Cumbria (77 minutes).
-
First round proper two days before we are due to go to their place. That could work in our favour....

Or could result in a postponement with them being a televised Sunday game

A remarkable finish to the BBC Radio Cumbria commentary as the commentator had to close down the match coverage very quickly after disgruntled Barrow fans seemed to be having a go at the Barrow owner (Paul Casson) who was the match summariser.

Indeed....or if it was a televised Monday game.

Nice long cup run please.....take their minds off this tinpot league.

I'm not sure how i feel about shaw lane progressing, the money will continue to improve them but a fixture backlog could be handy

I think it benefits us more in that they may lose players - and yes money buys more but it is hard to get them to just slot in.

They have a youngish midfielder called Alex Byrne from Newton Heath who is meant to be half decent.

Shaw lane did well today as did Kidderminster and Hereford who all saw off national lge opposition
-
Good on Damian - definitely has a recent affinity with the competition.
Hopefully Shaw Lane will get a bum draw that won't make them much money (e.g. Boreham Wood away).
The likes of Warrington and Stourbridge have strengthened from Cup runs - all the more reason to win the thing this year.

Shaw Lane v Mansfield must be in with a fair chance of being on live TV & quite possibly on the Monday evening if that's one of the TV slots, so we could have a midweek off!

I thought exactly that too, although there are other ties such as Hyde U v Milton Keynes Dons which must have an equal chance. While I wish him no ill health, it would be amusing to see that nice Mr Evans go more and more purple after Damian Reeves scores against his team.

Its not his blood pressure that turns him purple... I should think its his Max Factor foundation, the posing T**t...

I may force myself to like Shaw Lane just a little if they knock Mansfield out , and Fat Hamish gets his P45.

Back to his best.
