Season Ticket Prices
« on: May 17, 2008, 11:54:54 AM »

Last year I am sure it was £160 for a season ticket.

With no rise on the gate price for standing this year

But the season ticket is now £209?

Have I read this wrong or is someone having a laugh with nearly a 33% increase in price, or were last years prices based on the North Division?

Last years prices were based on a 42 game season in BSN, of course we had a 46 game season in the BSP, so last season was a bargain.

Works out at a bout £9 a game... Not bad at all in my opinion.

Lasy years were BSN prices.

Still great value...and great that there is no increases on the day gate prices that still makes us cheapest in the league.

I'm very impressed the prices haven't gone up.  Would've expected us to at least stick an extra quid on.  Just hope it doesn't leave us at a disadvantage, but nonetheless a great gesture from the club.

A lot of people will not be renewing at that price. It would be better to keep prices low and aim to sell more. People will spend money inside the stadium so it is better to have 1,500 paying £10 rather than 1,000 paying £15

Im pretty shocked it went up that much in one go, maybe it should have been staggered over 2 seasons.

Lets hope we are rewarded on the pitch with improved performances.

The prices seem quite sensible to me and as stated above it still represents a saving of £3 per game. Well done to the club for freezing "pay on the gate" prices.

The people who don't renew will not be doing so on the basis of the price, that's for certain!

Its not that its gone up a lot..its thats it has effectively gone from BSN prices to BSP prices.

If thers is moaning about this then the club is really being punished for not putting them up a bit last year which isn't fair.

Pork Pie has explained this perfectly clearly here, last season there were 4 free games and all priced at a lower division rate. Its good value if you ask me and compares very well with other clubs.

Last years prices were actually atrociously low, that's the problem. Mine worked out at £160 for 23 games = £6.95 per game which was ludicrous actually.

By the way Baldrick, I didn't notice 1,500 people taking up the season ticket offer last year mate, did you?

I would be interested to know how many ST's we do sell actually. Anyone got the figures?

Also, is the price quoted for seats or terraces?

Season Ticket Prices
Standing - Adults £209; Concessionaries £99
Seating - Adults £249; Concessionaries £109

SW....I heard there were 320 season tickets sold last season

Ballers...My point is the club should aim to get as many people into the stadium as possible because they will spend money on beer/snacks/programmes etc. If they can't sell tickets at £160 they are not going to sell them at £209

Ai, but let's be honest, It's the hardcore who buy season tickets.  Lowering of keeping the prices the same isn't going to attract many new people to buy a season ticket, and I'd imagine people who bought them last year will still buy them this year, and if they don't chances are they'll still go to most the matches, making a negligible difference to a club.  However, the majority that do renew will earn the extra club quite a lot of new income.

The "getting as many people into the stadium as possible" is more aimed at the irregulars and one offs to entice them back IMHO.
