Better chance of us winning this fixture on a Tuesday night but still a bit of a pity.
I suppose it's reasonable for people to question the value of the covers.

More than reasonable especially for the fans that put money in to help buy them if we are not going to or attempt to use them then sell them on
And give the people that contributed there money back.if it's a question of volunteers to help cover the pitch then why not say via the website I am more than willing to do a 2hr return journey to help if it gets the game on.

Typically it's now sunny, with a cold wind to dry off the pitch.

Its not just surface water, the ground is completely sodden, its rained almost every day for at least a week often heavy, streams/rivers are full.
You cant put covers on soaked ground, during gales, and hope to achieve anything.
Then to cap it off it rained quite consistently all night, I cant even walk on my lawn in Alty its got puddles all over it.

We dont have a climate,.. we just have weather  ::)

I find that utterly bewildering, Ian, as I was under the impression that you could walk on water....!

You should ask the club if you can borrow their covers 😉
