Title: And so to Tuesday...
Post by: markecky on February 12, 2011, 05:06:45 PM
Altrincham v Histon, 19:45
Cambridge Utd v Darlington, 19:45
Gateshead v Hayes & Yeading, 19:45
Mansfield v Barrow, 19:45

Histon can't have been bouyed by losing at home to H and Y....and we should take some confidence from the fact we had a damn good go against a decent side with ten men.

A win would put five points between us and them with a game in hand.

Its a big one...

Bad set if results today, according to a couple of the lads, the game decended into a farce at the end, but we were on top for large parts and deserved a point dispite having ten men for a long time, hitting the woodwork twice etc, Tuesday is a MUST win game, no excuses

We have to attack them, a goal for Baynes will help his confidence I'm sure.

It could have been worse if Barrow had won..

Indeed, 3 points are a must from Tuesday night.

                                  Coburn

    Densmore     Williams      Young        Joseph

    Baynes         Hewson      Wedgbury   Clee

                            Twiss     Reeves

Which wouldn't be a bad lineup - but Densmore must be doubtful after he limped off.

Ecky,

It would have been even worse if both Histon and Eastbourne had won today, as that would have condemned us back to the foot of the table....!

If Densmore is unavailable I'd probably go with:

                                   Coburn

    Joseph         Williams      Young         Brown

    Baynes         Hewson      Wedgbury   Clee

                            Twiss     Reeves

There are indeed mate.

I still take some comfort from the fact we could have been playing these games and be down already though.

We know what we have to do..

Have to agree with this team. I think it is the strongest we will be able to put out and is certainly an attacking one. Only thing that may be different is the goalie. Has Coburn been injured/dropped or rested with Tuesday in mind?

"Rested"! If only we had such luxury.

A previous post reckoned he'd picked up a groin strain. Seems Dootson did ok anyway?

Those in the know at the game reckon Stu was fine yesterday but woke up with a sore thigh today .. Hopefully he will be fine for Tues night

First goal I think - was keepers fault for not coming out and commanding his area

But bar that he was good

Pen was poor but still saved it!

All things considered today, I thought a draw would have been a fair result.

Everytime I see Kidderminster, I am astounded that they end up so far up the league...

We should have beaten them in the home fixture and as previously said, we deserved a point today.

Great effort especially in the second half lads,,, I thought Baynes and Wedgbury were very good today.

Now for Histon on Tues...

Hope the fans make the effort to be there, it does make a difference.

I am certainly happy with the way we are playing at present, apart from finishing maybe!, but I don't subscribe to the argument that ' playing that well we will be safe.'  We need to convert these good performances into wins, or we will pay the penalty later in the season.

Let's hope that starts on Tuesday!
