The mental world of nonleague football
« on: June 11, 2014, 11:25:01 PM »

This is a quote from a Salisbury city supporter, we've missed all this bonkers carry on in the dull northern league

"So...The Moroccan businessman who took over is...a fraudster. He lied about waiting for mass funds to come through, tried to get £100,000 through the club and stole £3000 from the club safe.

He has been confronted and has refused to transfer the club to anyone else, and has apparently been sleeping at the club for the past three days. It now looks very likely the club will be removed from the Conference, with a fans club perhaps being created.

Story to go national apparently tomorrow."

The loyal supporters suffer again.
Hope they can sort something out for the future.

Their official site says this as at 16:12 today - "Mark Winter and other professionals employed by the club are in on-going discussions with the conference who are being as supportive as they can be. The club will issue a further statement to supporters and stakeholders when there is more to report"

As i understand they had a deadline of 17:00.

Is 1700 today, the final final deadline.
How much longer have clubs got to wait to see what league they are in next season.
We were told 'The Rules are The Rules'!!!!

In this country there are rules for one, and another set of rules for another.

Salisbury have asked for an extension.  How long for - who knows?  Perhaps they'll get another two weeks or two hours. It's pluck a number out of the air time folks.
