Jennings would be class, but I can't see him coming.

Jarman from North Ferriby might do a good job, but I have no idea as to his availability.

What I would actually like to happen is for James Walshaw to have a change of heart and re-sign for us.

It's not going to happen though......   :(

If his rumoured wage at Ferriby is correct, it would pretty much rule him out.

I don't know if he had issues last season, or if he was just 1 or 2 season wonder...Scott Spencer??

I didn't know about that mate.

It's all gone quiet regarding this kid Joe Jackson who we were possibly going to sign from Workington as well.

I fear to get a decent replacement for wally it may cost the roumoured amount that jarman is earning I'd like conner Jennings but that's very unlikely

But isn't relevant. He was able to back it up. If he came he scoring hat tricks I wouldn't care.

However, having been at Gainsborough and Worksop he'd be on decent money and if we were to pay decent money for a striker I'd like someone with a bit more Conference pedigree possibly. Also, I think Ferriby have taken a couple of Worksop players already, I'd imagine they'll match his money and he'll go there. Good player though.

I'd be happy with him on the bench but like I said on a previous post it will take a very good and well paid forward to be as good as Walshaw

Not a striker, but I see mike grogan has yet to re sign for Telford, scored against us in the away game and got 15 goals from defensive midfield, I thought he was outstanding

Personally, I'd play James Lawrie up top with Reeves and bring in an out and out right winger.

To be fair to James lawrie he has probably been our best player since the Telford game however we need a better option to partner reeves

Or if he doesn't end up at Ferriby..

I'd love us to be aiming to get Connor Jennings and James Jennings.

If we're going out on a limb, and I know we probably can't afford him but let's indulge ourselves in the close season, Cambridge have released Matthew Barnes-Homer.

Title: Re: striker you would like to see replace walshaw

He plays for billericay, we need a quality striker really, so someone of top quality in CN at minimum and they've all signed for Harrogate barrow and Guiseley apart from miller. So you've got to be looking at someone from conference or above which will cost. Aside from mettam the top scorers at evostick level don't look up to much.

Liam Dickenson played a few games for Stalybridge towards the back end of last season after a long injury lay off. With a full pre season he could be a decent acquisition.

If sunderland are still putting out Duncan out on loan, i would love him back (think we should at least give it a go). I think he would be better off out of the scottish first division.
He would flourish in the conference national.

This would be a big gamble.
Looked very good against us in the promotion final and still good enough to play in the FL.
However I think we could be signing someone who is injury prone.

To be honest, given the attacking way Lee has set Alty up in the last few years, not to mention the success some of the strikers have enjoyed - Redshaw, Reevsey, Dunc, Wally etc - I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see the likes of Louis Moult or Connor Jennings at Alty, perhaps seeing us as a good bet for a springboard to bigger and better things. Just a thought...
