Bit Harsh. I think Lees is a good player and Flynn too. They all had shockers today though.

You never know, we may trial some new defenders on Saturday...

Surely we must give Stalybridge some credit? From the summary on radio robins they were good value for their win.

Complete horror show at the back.

The first came from a shocking kick from Coburn and Flynn was totally outpaced.

The second came from a poor kick from thier keeper that got flicked on and Flynn was outpaced.

The third wasn't helped by Lawrie being on the on left and no-one on the right covering Lees.

The game may have had a different outcome if the Bridge player who had handballed it was shown a 2 yellow.

Defo pen in 2nd half for foul on young Jack.

Shocking defending and a poor perfromance from Clee and Lawrie won't win many games esp. against a clinical, title chasing outfit.

We were completly outplayed today by a class team, who not only had a brilliant, young forward line, but 2 of the best full backs I.ve seen in non league football. Sure, our defence and the officials didn.t help one bit, but well done to celtic. The only negative for them is, where on earth were their fans today. No united and no city, yet a disappointing home turn out 4 the best team in the league.

Stalybridge were very good and our tactics were no different from our decent home performances, it just looked like a class between the two teams, 5-1 was harsh but they deffo deserved the win

I disagree about re-signing Doughty, that would be a backwards step. I've never been a fan of brown and he was awful, but he wasnt the only one. Williams and Flynn were abysmal, Less was marginally better than them.

Credit Stalybridge a bit. There finishing was clinical today...

I'll put this on another thread but I think we're carrying to many players.. maybe we should take our medicine tighten up at the back by signing some young, keen lads and get rid of the diatribe we see defensively week in week out?

I dont mean to be rude guys, but I am going to be.

6-1 and 6-1 and 17 goals in 4 games you were all signing the praises of the team. Yet today the team is now sh1t again.

Get a grip folks and give Celtic some credit, they are 12 months ahead of us on rebuilding, this time next year I am sure you will see a differnt Alty.

A defence is only a good as its weakest link.  One player not up to scratch and the others are pulled out of position to cover for them.  don't think we need a completely new back 4.  For me in the relatively few games I've seen Brown is that player.  We still have a good team.

I didn't see today (thank goodness) but it's been my opinion all season that Brown would be better on the left of midfield. Good going forward, but not convincing as a defender.

Brown is far from being the best LB in this league, yes he has made some mistakes but he has also had some good games. \the whole defence were poor today and exposed by our midfield with too many errors.
