What you’re effectively saying is all pitches have improved over the last 25 years but ours hasn’t. Brilliant.

I will pass on your remarks to Neil.
I'm sure he will appreciate them.
Look forward to your suggestions of how we can sort it out.

Don’t be so defensive Bryan.
I am in no way apportioning blame, so don’t take it as such. It’s obvious that the pitch isn’t in good condition, and this is something that no amount of reparatory work will do mid-season.
Ignoring it won’t make it go away, but showing that the pitch quality hasn’t changed in 25 years doesn’t mean it’s a moot point.

Defensive Mike,
I'm sure you know why.
You have just said ' the pitch is shocking end of'.
We have one strip that holds water.
Could you please explain why You Said ' the pitch is shocking end of'.!!!!!!
Some people might not have been at the game and think the whole pitch is shocking.
Yes you are correct that we can't do anything on that bad strip until the end of the season.
But it all comes down to money.
It's a shame TASK has gone who might have been able to get us some funds.

That “one strip” covers almost the entire pop side from touchline to centre circle. It’s hardly a tiny patch. Yes, some of it plays like a bowling green, but the state of the pitch is atrocious at the moment (again Bryan, this is due to factors outside our control and it has been discussed many times already) and ignoring the fact (I don’t think the ground staff are ignoring it, by the way) won’t make it any better.
Anyway, I stand by my statement. There’s no doubting the fact that pitch conditions are less than ideal, and the reasons for that are well documented elsewhere, and at no point t have the ground staff been blamed for this. We understand the situation. As I say, there’s no reason to be defensive over a criticism that wasn’t even there.

Did you know you're allowed to have an opinion without having to solve the issue.
It's magic, give it a try

Without wanting to get involved in the row you are trying to start, what’s this Murder Mystery night coming up in the Legacy Lounge raising funds for? I’m assuming it is already allocated to something else, but the state of the pitch and getting it sorted must surely be one of main priorities at the club now. So, (after you’ve sobered up a bit) perhaps you could ask Grahame if the money you need could come from this, instead of expecting the fans to pay for it?

It's something to be addressed in the summer. At the moment because of the water retention the soil looks like mousse. I think the best that can be managed is to get it flat before the start of each game.

Rochdale have just relaid their pitch for the cost of £500, 000

4G or not 4G, that is the question. Whether it is nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous salesmen.
4G doesn't actually exist though does it? It's a salesman's wet dream, or wet green if you will. They have yet to be officially graded and therefore recognised as such by any sporting bodies. Rubber crumb or no rubber crumb, tis a misnomer.
I'm off to investigate the properties of the 4G butt plug....and let's be honest you could do without rubber crumb on the job.
-
Very little black rubber bits on 4G.

Pitches have improved for those of us who can remember The Baseball Ground this is obvious, the trouble is the weather has got worse. Global warming has made all weather extreme, floods seem to be the norm now and for small clubs at our level the problems caused by excessive rain are insurmountable in many cases. I see Shaw were off again last night
