Bloody hell-arse.

That Radio York commentator is still a complete gimp then.

Altrincham FC First Team / Today's results

Not too bad, with the teams immediately below us in the table either drawing or losing.

However, Vics and Stafford who are my benchmark for us currently in the table (both similar sized clubs with similar levels of support) are both beginning to pull away a bit. Need something tmrw. I am amazed that Stafford already have 26 points to be honest. Thought they would find it a lot harder. Well done to them.

Indeed, a Stalyvegas legend.

I recall myself a cracking goal that started a comeback fron 0-2 down to 2-2 on a Tuesday night against Nuneaton in November 99. Shame, he MAY have altered the course of Alty history that season if he'd been fit.

Altrincham FC First Team / Connett shoots himself in the foot again
« on: November 01, 2006, 06:01:47 PM »
Interesting reading on Vics forum, seems that the ticket prices for their FA Cup clash at some dilapidated athletics track near Brighton have not been annouced as Brighton want to charge about 12 quid in and Vics are insistent on it being much closer to the normal league price of 22 quid (which given the state of Brighton's ground seems a bit of a pisstake to me in the first place).

Aside from the fact that if it's 22 quid in, there will surely be far fewer people there than if it's 12, so Connett will lose out-even with the increased price, I seem to recall he tried to pull a similar stunt at Sunderland last year. Whenever they get on the national stage he just makes himself and by extension his club look ever so slightly petty.

Charlie Bradshaw-he was world class before the talk of a move to Spurs turned his head-a target man AND a goalscorer, I'm sure fondly remembered by a few.

Carmody while a great servant to the club with a fantastic appearance record just didn't contribute enough goals for me.

There are no parralels that I can see between the Robinson situation and Crawley's plight. While yes it would be a huge shame for all the loyal Crawley fans who've been there through thick and thin, to simplify Crawley like so so many before them have spent vast amounts of money that they simply didn't have, now owe huge sums left, right and centre and large numbers of fans are boycotting games because two men have ruined the club in the space of a year. We did that in the Berman days, had to suffer 5 years of plodding round the Unibond and only now are we getting back on an even keel.

The point is, if Scabs were kicked out in the summer, then Crawley (if they are to be consistent) should be dealt with in a similar fashion now.

For me, the whole Crawley saga has dragged on for far too long now. It's obvious that while the Majeeds are involved the creditors aren't going to see any of their money and they are taking the piss out of everyone. The Conference should have had the balls to get rid of them in the summer, no wonder Nationwide are giving up the sponsorship.
