The scoreline could happen but you're a good 150-160 out on the away support at least

For me, Alty 1 (Denham) Crawley 2 (Tubbs 2) still too much uncertainty in defence
Att 851 (36)

Alty 0-2 Brewster's Millions

Att: 901 (49)

A tough opening week comes to an end and we can move on to better things after this.

Come on Alty!

I am not predicting the score.  I am concerned that they are like the Harlem Globetrotters and if they click they will really be very good.

One thing is for sure, the stand will have a field day with Evans..

Crowd will be 929 (75 from Crawley)

Jock is warming up for this one already!

If anything, Evans' horrendous assistant, Paul Raynor, is even worse than the obnoxious one with the dodgy hair highlights himself...

He also has a habit of conceding from ridiculous distances. Since their new keeper is still banned they may have to play him....and we've got Welch  ;D

1-0 Alty (Welch 60 yards!)

I think we'll have another 1-1, playing them at the right time as they won't have gelled properly yet and aren't on something rediculous like a 15 match unbeaten run.

Going to stick my neck on the line and say Evans will be banished from the ground for the 2nd half, if anythings to go by how he behaved at Cambridge and the 2nd game of the season on Tuesday.

We'll win this one.

I've never felt so cock-sure about anything in my life *

*The last time I was this confident we got beat 3-4 at home by Barrow!  :( ***

*** But it'll be different this time!
      2-0 to the Supers

Simon Rayner, the goalkeeper that conceded that goal and played for them for 2 seasons is no longer there, the assistant is a different guy

The goalie was actually a decent laugh and had a bit of banter last season with us on Chequers

Got a bit excited, figured they might fly a load up by private jet... or rent some fans, like North Korea :)

I got my scoreline right on Tuesday, unfortunately, and I'm going for a Altrincham 1-2 Crawley (Reeves). Go on Alty, prove me wrong!

Has anyone else noticed that we have now gone eight league games without a win?

It's our worst run since the sequence that lead up to the infamous Lewes match at Moss Lane in September 2008.

No better time to get back to winning ways than against Evans' mercenaries on Saturday...

As i now live in Cambridge, i watched Cambridge v Crawley on tuesday.

Things to watch out for:
Crawley like to cause a bit of havoc at corners. The two main plays were:
1. a player running from near post to far post with colleagues inbetween. - he managed four or five free headers, and created their first goal.
2. four players chatting to each other at the edge of the area, and suddenly run towards goal when the corner is taken. This causes choas in the defence.

Crawley's main output is torres on the left. He is very good, with an excellent first touch, he created crawley's 2nd v cambridge, and rippped the cambridge defence apart every time he went foward. Fortunately, he seemed to get very tired (and subbed).

Tubbs also is a threat, but we know he is a diving T**t from his time at salisbury.

Crawley  are most liable on the counter. They like to put a lot of players up for attacking plays, as such they tend to leave two or three back for corners or free kicks.

I would like to think we can hold our own agains crawley. 1-1 would be a good bet.

Fook, I know they have been splashing the cash, but when did they get him?

"All of the money - we're in the same League.........................."

Altrincham 1 (McFadzean OG)   Crawley Town 0

"With all due respect to Altrincham, we should be beating teams like them" (Steve Evans, but not until Monday when he's calmed down).
