Title: densmore
Post by: Timperley The Best on September 22, 2010, 10:47:06 AM
for me was man of the match last night , looks better in mifield than wing back , if we get a good right wing back presuming we are playing 3 centre halfs , get doughty bak and get a good striker to partner denham or reeves then in my opinion we wont be far off being a half decent side.

Densmore played very well as did everyone to be fair but i thought Danylyck was different class last night, absolutely superb. I agree we need a right wing back but a striker has got to be a priority as soon as we have any funds available but we all know how hard it is to find quality strikers that no one wants!

Densemore ran the midfield for me in my eyes, broke forward at times, and was also there putting a quality challenge in at times, all round solid performance along with robbie and anthony!

Yes

man of the match

wasted in defence

played in a great position in front of the midfleld

showed again how good he really is

think he has lost his way a bit recently

good penalty which his dad (the superb) peter could hardly watch

great display second half, danylyk as well, lawton etc

don't consider any other managers... especially not Harvey from what I've heard from someone who played under him  last season

looking forward to saturday

Was Twiss in attendance last night?

Im gutted about Twiss, I thought he was going to be a great replacement for Little, as im sure did GH. He still can if he turns up and accepts that its a dog fight we're in here and that he needs to be fit for the fight.

Surely if we get him going we dont need to sign another striker?

Yes, he was involved in the pre-match warm.....as was Tom McCready.

He arrived in a string vest with a kebab in one hand and a can of Skol in the other asking whether there was a game tonight*

Disgusting...

*The above statement is not actually true.

So he wasnt wearing a string vest then?

I presume that was the jokey bit because im from the peter thompson school of thought that dictates to have a kebab and can of skol at all football related events anything else would be simply unprofessional.

So is Twiss carrying a knock? It tool Denham a good while to settle in and at one point i thought he would leave at the first chance. I never wanted that and im glad he is now so important for us. I hope we can say the same for Twiss come April!!

Possibly a knockwurst, perhaps?

Was Crowell injured.....or just instructed not to bother undertaking the long journey from Newport then?

Totally agree on the striker part. We definately lack that bit of height up front and despite James McCarthy being rather tall, he doesnt really use it as an advantage. A loan signing would be sensible. Just someone quite tall, quite built. Basically a good John McAliskey ;)

Get him a wee loan with a local club in S Wales to get some match fitness?
