Title: Woking Away - Predicitions
Post by: Jenga on September 11, 2007, 12:57:13 PM
This could be a very interesting game. There is a possibility we could grab something on Saturday.

I will be bold this week and go for ..........

Woking 1 v 2 Altrincham

                     Whalley - 56 mins
                     Senior   - 79 mins

92 Altrincham fans travel, in harmony, forgetting all the banter of the forum of recent and becoming friends with a big group hug  ;D

f**k it. 4-1 Alty  ;D

A piss poor away following of 58 sees us finally break off the shackles against a young woking team unable to contain us after our early goals.

2 early goals from Potts and Little and although the big lad up front for Woking pulls one bcak (from a cross) fairly quickly. An early 2nd half tap in from Robbie Lawton after the keeper parries an Asa strike makes it a comfy day for the Robins. Chris Senior gets the 4th on 81 minutes after a mix up in between their keeper and centre half.

I'm going to be positive this week.

(Or we may go there and sit back and lose 0-2 tediously but I'm going to go with the original prediction for now.)

Woking have drawn 4 out of 4 at home. Altrincham have drawn 3 from 4 away. So obviously it will be an away win
Woking 0 Alty 2

Good man Hughesy. 12 noon at Waterloo for us, I might go and see if the pub near the ground would like the QPR cushion back that I liberated last year. Always a bizarre and drunken occasion Woking.

I think we might get something from this game, as Woking are your typical mid-tabe team. An our away recod isn'y too bad this season so i think we might see a few goals hear. If we played like we did on saturday i think we will get a draw, but if we play amazing there will be an ALTY WIN

2-1  Alty
p.s Not bothered who scores as long as someone can fing the back of the net

As Woking have just lost to a poor Halifax side can we please have go at them and play Clancy (who is fit) and Logan (who is class (possibly for only 60 mins, but 60 mins is 60 mins)) and have a go at them because we've got f**k all to lose and win 2-0.

Please!!!!

Amen. Read that and tell me we shouldn't go for it on Saturday. There for the proverbial taking surely?

Given we have scored in every game this season (bearing in mind the one against Grays was given offside) and we are due a clean sheet for the first time this season, I think that we'll win 1-0.

PS: I've got to be correct sooner or later haven't I?

I think it will be a draw, we'll start the game with a 4-6-0 formation, go a goal down then bring on Potts et al, play like Brazil '70 for 20 mins get one, but not the second we deserve.

Just like Saturday, but without the late 2 goals.

Bringing subs on with 20 mins to go? Shirley some mistake. 5 mins max. Fact!  :D

The funny thing is that (as Ecky said during the Oxford game) the way we approached the Oxford game would be ideally suited to our game against Woking this weekend. It will be interesting to see if that's what happens.

I agree, if we can keep a clean sheet while doing it. Going a goal down throws the whole plan out the window as we need to get forward.

to be perfectly honest, against a team where we have not done great against, but have an inexperienced squad, we may be good enough to come away with a good result. A win would be fantastic, but whether GH will play the strongest team capable of winning the match is another post. We will win 2-1. Our defence looks better after each game, though the loss of munroe should see a solid performance from rose. again potts and senior will work wonders coming on in the 2nd half...... though woking may have seen us bringing on a very good play-maker in previous games.

I think again it's totally down to what we go out intending to do.  Based on Wokings results this year, I think we all know we could get something from this game, and 3 points are well within our reach.  So, predictions:

If we play a good formation, with Clancy, at least 1 winger, and Senior:
Alty 2 - 1 Woking

If we start with same as Sat or similar:
Alty 1 - 2 Woking

Come one Alty!

With our poor record at Woking and the fact they've just signed two strikers on loan i don't think our defensive formation will bring us any joy on Saturday.

Woking 2  Alty 0

Well as its my first game of the season and my nearest local one I've got to be optimistic so I'm looking for a win, any win, don't care how snidey or flukey.

Have a goodwin joe, lovely predicting

On to two of the most vital games of the season then and as much as I hate to say it its going to be 2 absolutely ridiculously nerve-racking games.....

Alty 0-3 Cambridge....fans go absolutely mental but we are beaten convincingly by a brilliant Cambridge side and after having a fantastic first 10 minutes and hitting the bar, we let in a goal as Cambridge break and we fall apart.

Alty 2-1 Droylsden...Alty win a vital game in unpretty style but Droylsden are poor.
