Didn't they manage to lose most of the money they made from the mergers, resulting in them getting relegated in 1996?

They have done well out of cup runs recently however.

To be honest, totally self sufficient (no reliance whatsoever on directors' donations or sponsorship) hardly exists anywhere.

I was just making the point that D&R would not have got anywhere near where they are if not for a massive injection of cash through the effective amalgamation of 3/4 clubs. As a comparison it would be the equivalent of Alty, Macc and Witton merging and pocketing the sale of the Drill Field and the Central Ground.

Yea I could just see Oxford in the BSS/N, though if Ossett make it to BSP can you imagine the response to a last minuet Ossett equaliser?

it might resemble the opening to saving private ryan  :D

was a good game to watch and exeter should have won it in normal time. and equally duffy missed a golden chance because he was messing about (even though the keeper had already gone to gound) hit it right at him.

don't rele care who wins the final both teams deserve it, but if exeter win and we get a repreve there would be one less trip to the south coast :-\
