Tonight's Value Treble

I saw this, thought it was a 'value' bet, so why not share the wealth and see if anyone else fancies it?

Milan to beat a stuttering Real Madrid in front of a hostile San Siro, Chelsea to get a draw away at Atletico Madrid that'll mean they're all but through to the next round, and an improving Wrexham to snatch an away draw at Kettering Town.

£5 pays £156.19

I'm going by the logic that Atletico have a new manager so should put in a better showing than in the early part of the season, combined with a draw being just about enough for Chelsea to qualify. Plus Chelsea are making a few changes.

Wrexham are starting to pick up points. I think they'll at least make a fist of it.

The prospect of £150 keeps things interesting anyway  ;D

Arrrgh! I considered Milan to draw, and it was better odds than the win, but going for three draws just seemed like suicide.

Oh well, I'll scan the odds tonight and see if I can go one better!

You could try a £5 treble with Coral :

Lyon at a very generous 13-10 to beat Liverpool's skeleton squad.
Unirea at 10-11 to beat Rangers at home - they shoved 4 past them in Glasgow.
And to push the odds up 9-4 the draw Standard Liege v Olympiakos.

If it comes up it, it would pay £81.09

Hmmm, not bad. Though aren't Olympiakos perennially awful on their travels in Europe? A bit like the Celtic of the south? I'll have a looksie...

Right, I like the look of your first two selections, but I've replaced the third with the West Ham game.

So:-

Lyon to beat a depleted Liverpool (with total makeshift defence, no Gerrard and half-fit Torres), Unirea to pick up where they left off and beat a struggling Rangers in Romania, and West Ham and Aston Villa to draw at Upton Park in the claret & blue derby.

£5 pays £74.81

forget value pick a winner, barcelona-sevilla-arsenal is a winner!!!!! ok only £27 back from a tenner but i'd rather do that than lose a fiver betting on games to draw ;D

I'd say yours is more likely, but to the tune of £13.50 from a £5 investment it's not worth the punt in my book. I think WHU vs AV has draw written all over it, whilst Liverpool/Rangers will to very well to avoid defeat.
