Firstly how great it was to see such a crowd in Moss Lane.  Well done to Darren and all the volunteers for the work they put in to make it go so smoothly.

Shame on our town for not bothering though.

And credit to the Wrexham fans, not a sniff of trouble and all the ones I spoke to were nice people.

After Saturdays shambles, today was a great performance with tired legs.

I can only echo Ecky's sentiments.

If ever an occasion demonstrated why it is imperative that we should play at this level, this afternoon was it.

Today's attendance was probably the equivalent of the aggregate from four Blue Square North home games against the likes of Solihull Moors, Redditch, Vauxhall Motors and Gainsborough Trinity.

Plus a full Sponsors' Lounge, too (thanks for the invitation, Mister Flynn, but where was the requested porridge...?).

Oh, and has anyone scored an earlier goal for Alty at Moss Lane than 12.06pm...?

The last biggest Conference crowd I was a part of was the just over 3000 at Kidderminster in 2000 (?), their promotion year. That did feel like being in a big crowd at a proper football match, and also a 1-1 scorline.

Interesting to see that only 1300 were at the equivalent game last Saturday.
