Burton's capitulation

Take a look at Burton Albion's recent form. Then take a look at Burton Albion's very tricky run-in.

I'm sticking a fiver on Torquay to win this league.

i was thinking that but came to the conclusion that time will just run out, however burtons run in is histon (h) kiddy (a) oxford (h) torquay (a) which could conceivably see them blow it
i actually thought it was cambridge who might catch them until last night

if burton do go up it might well be a one year wonder

my theory here is that young mr. clough bottled it at burton.  He stood by them for years (well done sir) and despite being linked with numerous jobs stood firm.  he led and managed that team superbly & when on the edge of triumph he left.  sure he ants to prove himself at a higher level but I do get a gut feeling that he lost his nerve.

Yeah i reckon he lost his nerve when he compared the pay packets and potential bonus he would earn at his new appointment  ::)

That and the family history with the club and the fact that he was almsot guaranteed to be welcomed with open arms by the faithful. I would suggest it is more of a case of the 'right' job came along.

Just got 8/1 for Torquay at Bet365. My wallet is now £25 lighter.
