Despite my feelings for this competition, which have not altered, I think we'd all relish the chance to take on the green slime at the end of the season.

Couldn't care less. The County FA have ruined this tournament. I never received a response from the chairman who was supposed to be so eager to answer my concerns. I hope nobody turns up for the final and both sides play weakened teams. Maybe, just MAYBE, the biscuit-munching eejits sat in their Northwich office might wise up and make it preseason.

I had a quick nosey at the slime-online forum - they want to play us as a test of where they are.

They don't need that test, I can can tell them now.  They're 8th in something called the Evo-Stik Premier League.
