Title: The bottom of the table tonight
Post by: Wilmslow Alty on April 12, 2008, 05:24:39 PM
Absolutely brilliant result today - especially coming back from 0-1  ;D

Here's how it's looking this evening

Team             P  W D  L  F  A  W D  L  F  A  GD  PTS
18 Altrincham 44 6 6 11 32 44 3 7 11 22 34 -24 40
19 Farsley Celtic 42 6 5 10 26 33 4 4 13 19 41 -29 39
20 Halifax 42 8 9 4 29 27 3 6 12 26 39 -11 38
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
21 Weymouth 42 5 4 11 18 30 4 7 11 29 39 -22 38
22 Northwich 42 5 7 9 29 34 4 4 13 20 40 -25 38
23 Stafford Rangers 42 1 4 15 13 43 3 6 13 25 47 -52 22
24 Droylsden 41 4 3 14 25 43 1 4 15 17 52 -53 22

Just needs two from Farsley, Halifax, Weymouth or Northwich to slip up their two games in-hand and the future's back in our hands. WE CAN DO THIS!!!

I'd still rather have the points than games in hand....I said when we drew against farsley we'd hover around 2-5 points clear and have been more or les right....just another week to go.

Spot on! The pressure is now on the other teams Farsley losing twice in a row  just effect them, Northwhich's run has come to an end and Steele has gone, Halifax can go bust, Weymouth can only get draws at the moment and will get beat to us last game after our performance today and the support we will take.

Look at it that way and we are in a good position

Don't want Vics to go down, but their remaining games are awful. Fax also have some terrible fixtures. Things are strangely looking up, but still the little matter of two away games for us!

It doesn't really matter who other teams remaining games are against. Form counts for nothing at this stage of the season. Teams are fighting for their lives.

Just bottle at the moment - which we showed in spades today.

It'd be a nice position to go to weymouth with us both needing a point to send farsley and anyone else down.

Would rather it be farsley and halifax for the drop...nothing against halifax but northwich will be sh*te next year and we'd hate to miss the xmas games under those circumstances.
