Went with my Dad on the train from Manchester so a bit difficult to say but would guess at about 14 or 15K

14 or 15 k to wolves sounds like biggest

There MUST have been more than that at Maine Road for the Spurs replay surely?

Also at Old Trafford for the Everton game?

Wolve's was a masssive turn out.
What was special, was that the game wasn't on our doorstep.

Hello]

I think that our Blackburn following is being hugely overestimated.I think that there were less than 10,000 in the ground & my estimate would be that we took about 1500.

I started watching Alty in 1971 as a 9 year old. My dad took me to a fair few away games, I recall Macc, Stafford, Sandbach Ramblers for some reason amongst others but I can't recall what the away following was like then. I think most if not all grounds were unsegregated, there was little singing and no replica shirts. Any old timers recall how many we would take to a routine NPL game say 20-40 miles away?

Apart from Macc and Vics, I would say 200 max.
Even in the late 60's we never took 2 coaches to away league games apart from that - as far as I can remember.
