As someone who sort of missed the first half of the season, what was the crack with these two? Why didn't it work out?

Personally, I think Sedgemore was the 'wrong' type of player, and Whalley had his niggling injury on his ankle wasn't it ? After he nutmegged the Stafford player and threaded that pass through that created the Lawton goal I had high hopes for him  :(

Sedgemore was played out of position.
He looked so much better when he reverted to being a goalkeeper against Droylsden at Moss Lane.

Didn't Gary Warrington upset Mister Whalley?!
