Ian Holloway would give us all a laugh

Anyway I have just asked my employer if from now on he will pay my wages direct into my Swiss bank account without any stoppages......apparantly someone said it's ok

Didn't we have enough soundbites from him when Blackpool were in the Prem  ;)

Seriously I would love to see Tony Mowbray as ther next England manager.  A long shot I know with being in the Championship but I can't remember a manager who handles himself with such dignity.

I'd have a 8 man coaching team.....

Neil Warnock (Manager)
John Sitton (Assistant)
Ian Holloway (Director of media & communications)
Matt LeTissier (Penalty Coach)
Ji Sun-Park (Fitness Coach)
David Beckham (Style guru and freekick coach)
Damian Reeves (Finishing coach)
Terry Butcher (defensive coach & Physio)

I understand that Mourinho is at a loose end for a couple of seasons given that Taggert is not in the mood for retirement. ;)

Can't really see the "bookies favourite" taking it .  Is Steve Bruce still out of work?

If Mouriniho picked up the phone and said he was available would the FA turn him down?  No.
If Martin O'Neill had not taken the Sunderland job would they want him? Yes.
If McTaggart up the road said he's jump at the job, would they decline the offer? No.

This "has to English" argument just doesn't work for me.

The next England manager, bar this upcoming appointment, is currently working at Southampton FC.

All national team managers should be from the country they are representing.

The odds on Ladbrokes aren't very flattering for most current English managers. Beckham and Wenger are apparently more likely than Allarydayce. Warnock's odds are identical to Glenn Hoddle's!

Not saying I totally agree with the statement, but can professionalism wholly overcome national pride when a managers adopted team plays his home nation? There is also the language barrier....It's a lat Trapp Paddy and we've been caught....the man has his female interpreter follow him everywhere

Because he's massively important to the running of the team and involved in every step. We might as well have an Italian goalkeeper.

the language barrier i can appreciate, but look at chelsea, united, arsenal, city etc and you'll see they have a host of players with different languages communicating during a game dealing with all the dynamics etc.  A managers role is far more off the pitch, a much more  controlled arena, on the training pitch, team meetings etc.

I don't care who manages Alty into the football league, they could have been born in Hicksville, Idaho, Kathmandu, Ogglethorpe or even bloody macclesfield.

Just my opinion but it is the national team and everyone directly involved should represent the nationality.

Don't tell the England and Wales Cricket Board that. :)

You have to draw the line somewhere!
