There is a possibility that we can get some free tickets for the Women's Olympic Football match between USA & DPR Korea which takes place at 5.15pm tomorrow at Old Trafford.

I'd like to second the thank you to Brian for sorting out the tickets. My other half will also be attending her first ever football game so hopefully after it i'll be able to convince her to come down to moss lane.

Thanks for the appreciative comments......everyone seemed to enjoy the game & I believe that the tickets were excellent as well.
I will try to find out what the chances are of acquiring tickets for the Old Trafford Semi-Final on Monday, but if Team GB are involved, then it's likely that they will be reduced.

In the absence of Hughesies "Womens Football" area of the forum I'm having to post this on here
The Semi Final at Old Trafford between Canada and USA was just an exceptional game of Football, finishing 4-3 to the USA with the winner being scored in the third minute of stoppage time at the end of the second period of extra time (3-3 at the end of 90 minutes)
A magnificent game, skill, commitment, full blooded challenges, a hat-trick from the captain of the (eventual) losing side
If only the Mens Competition had thrown up a game like this
It would have been worth every penny one might have paid to watch it

I think "Altrincham Ladies" rather than "women's football" would be a better title for the subsection. It would be a valid resource for the ladies team.And any other matters relating to ladies football for those that like watching the Doris's.

Although this is partly true, it is a little blinkered. The USA second goal scored directly from a corner was a shambles and should never have been seen on a footy pitch. The standard of refing for a semi final was awful.
