Creditors have been paid 50p in the pound from total debts of around £1.4m and Blue Square Premier officials have lifted the club's transfer embargo.
Town will also appeal against the six-point penalty and suspended £10,000 fine imposed on them this week.

All 13 summer signings are now eligible to face Stevenage Borough in the first game of the season on Saturday.

By the skin of their teeth.

The bloody nerve to even consider challenging their points deduction. They were lucky to get away with so little.

Inevitable really...............they have had the money all along but needed to pay up yesterday in order to play their new signings. They knew exactly what they were doing.

No surprise at all.
In the business world, its called JIT payments (where JIT - just in time). Payments are deliberately paid late, against the terms of the contract, but paid just in time to prevent the recipient from taking action. Large contractors sometimes do this to their smaller suppliers. The extra interest gained by the increased positive cashflow can be substantial at the year end.

Well, lets hope in the near future, such farcical situations will result in punishment and i dont mean a 1 point deduction which doesnt change anything, tell them either to pay the full money or suffer serious consequences
