That is a real blow to our survival now.

Its one match in the middle of Januray FFS

If only it was, but its the 26th of a 46 game season and its not the first like this one.

Perhaps Bath were just better than us?

They looked a decent team when we played at their place. We were never going to win every game!

Southport in the mix though, 0-5 at Wimbledon today although to be honest I'm not looking forward to going there.

Most of the crap down the bottom with us lost today as well, so it's pretty much as you were.

It's the loss of another player and the knock of confidence from today, rather than the result, that we should be worried about. A win Tuesday and it's all looking alright again.

Just got back from match. Nothing went our way today, the ref gave us f..all all afternoon. clear dive when James Smith played and got the ball for the first (and their lad dived over his leg on the follow through) but we then fell asleep for their quick free kick. Second goal their player clearly handled the through ball and ref missed that but pen decision was right after that, clear pen for us when densmore foul not given and we missed two very clear chances from Carl and Reeves near the end.

TBF Bath probably played some of the neatest football seen at ML all season and defo wont go down. Luckliy, all the other results went our way so really not as bad an outcome as it could have been and Baynes only out one match and with Clee playing I think we will be better.

As a few have said, just bad day at office but at least they showed the right attitude again and at least tried to play football 4.3.3, but passing wasn't good enough.

We will play worse and win. The real important game is now tuesday vs H & Y.

Up untill their 1st goal, we played some great football - if we play like that then we should be fine.

First goal - great tackle, never a free kick!

Penalty (good save) - foul on our left wing whilst we were attack attacking, we got a small advantag ie. a rushed crossed  - quickly switched and then a last ditch tackle.

Unfortunately - theirfirst goal gave them confidence to attack more

Cue accusations of Referee bias

Anyhow, For the first Bath goal Smithy dived in and ontacted neither ball nor player. However the 'careless nature' of the challenge (defender going to ground) made it a nailed on free kick. We then apparently switched off temporarily (I didn't see it tbh) and they scored.

Penalty was actually awarded by the Assistant on the popular side. Referee awarded foul but whether inside or outside was indicated by Assistant who had theoretically a better view. Was always gonna be a Red card once the fould had been given. Can't comment on the handball element as I was on the popular side terrace at the time. Oh and Smithy wants slaughtering for collecting a ridiculous caution by going back into the area as he did.

Our supposed penalty. There was a challenge in the area which may or may not have been a foul however the ball ran on to an Alty player with a clear shot at goal so Mr West played a decent advantage. We then missed this clear chance.

The third Bath goal. If the foul people are referring to was on the popular side touchline then Mr West was about three yards from it, much nearer than me so I can't comment on whetehr it was or not.

We need to remember that Bath have beaten some very good sides this season and also that we had sufficient fairly good chances to have won it had we taken them.
