Sounds like we missed little and Senior upfront, rather blunt today.

But we just cannot seem to keep clean sheets.

Only two so far in 25 league games.

i accept that the new players might need a bit of time to gel together, but you surely have to have hoped that changing half the team would produce something better than a thumping. A battling one or two-nil defeat ok, but it looks like we've barely had an attempt on goal and letting in four shows poor defending, not good attacking.

It is very very frustrating, especially when so many people have praised Lane, Shotton & Tinson over the season.

we have praised them three, becuase they have done a good job. If you drew a diagram as to where the goals are coming from, it is th other player out of those three that makes a back four where we have shipped goals

FA Cup is different. Maybe you need to have a look at Altrincham's results over the course of the season.

To put this result into perspective, top of the league Aldershot 2-1 at Northwich, second place Stevenage 2-1 at Stafford, mid-table Oxford 4-0 against Altrincham.

Like UC says, a battling one or two goal defeat (as was expected by most of us) would have been acceptable. A 4-0 drubbing with no shots on target is atrocious no matter what spin people place on it. It is some consolation that the bottom 6 all look as bad as each other. The games at Weymouth and Droylsden and at home to Stafford and Farsley now become crucial.

"Alty never set out to draw this game." Maybe we should have been more defensive? "Normal service resumed!"

On the plus side, I get Jennifers milk for her & she gave the loveliest of smiles. The world is so much better again!
