i think a cheap trial would be to dig a hole close to the golf road/pop side corner, fill it with soakaway crates, and rent a pump of Stuart Coburn. Let it fill up then pump the water out and see what effect it has on the pitch.
I think a load of soak away crates are the way forward but like you said it would need to be linked up so that they can be pumped empty but I think it would be the best option. Or have crates with drainage pipes under ground out of the ground and connect the into the street drainage.
Cup was always a chance to visit new grounds so a shame that we can't go.
Would like to avoid Notts County, Solihull, Torquay, Stockport from our level and Boston in the league below.
Be nice given we can't rest players, to give this a real go whilst other clubs aren't arsed.
This is the standard I was hoping to see from Phil team at this level.
We didn't hoof, we played our football, and we looked like scoring goals.
Smith seems to be bringing it all together, allowing Hancock and Moult to do their jobs.
Kosylo and Senior are a joy to watch.
Tom playing his part again of the bench.
Grim. Just terribly unlucky.
Definitely there’s an element of misfortune involved. But surely a big factor in our sudden injury list (after 3 years of relatively good luck on the injury front) has to be that the majority of our squad has now essentially played, or trained, continuously for the past 16 months – since reporting for pre-season way back in June 2019.
The prolonged 2019/20 season turned out great for us, but an extended injury list now is perhaps an unavoidable consequence, and something we will probably need to live with this season as 16 months becomes 17 months, becomes 18 months… etc.
Thankfully we’ve made a decent start to the season this time round (allowing for the home-away split), as these points could be vital at the back end of the season if the injuries do continue. The next week will be important too, starting tonight, with 3 home games against sides that all represent a great opportunity to get some more early points on the board.
