The goals are situated at either end of the pitch, not at the sides.

TNS very good at passing the ball and holding, but nothing at the end of it (apart from their goal after six minutes). Colin Little's equaliser was an optomistic hooked cross from  the bye-line that looped over the keeper's head.

As for Gareth Whalley,  I don't know if he's match fit or not, but early on his passes were underhit or inaccurate. Better second half with a couple of good passes in dangerous areas. Still I remember how badly Eddie Hussin started with Alty, and look what he brought us. Early days.

TNS at the start looked class, unfortunately they just play the same game boring football at the back and we let then do it - why not :-)

They had no penetration and nothing up front, very boring backward thinking side - just like the welsh all over really or is that classes as racism?

Thought TNS looked good early on but got sucked into the trap of keeping the ball to much second half whoch ruined a decent first half...whalley was lightweight and made poor passes first half and second half improved with some nice composed play....but as you say early days, anything could happen

Additional footballing tip to TNS:

Don't make your goalkeepers wear pink shirts....

TNS had no penetration. We had no penetration either. The reason being TNS played a very unfair game. They would not let us have a kick of the ball for most of the game. For much of it some of our new signings reminded me of a certain Mr Thompson and Mr Bowler. They looked like they just could not be arrsed.
The good side of all this is that after yesterdays game I thought that we would be in a relegation spot from next Saturday onwards.
This is a good sign for sure, as after pre season for the last couple of years I have thought we would have no problem staying mid table. So on the grounds that I get it horribly wrong ..................need I say more.

I don't think you can say 'certain players can't be arsed' having just seen them in the pre-seaon's . You might well be right but them all a chance in matches where it matters.

Having said that I think Lane looks the best of all new signings and trialists.

Totally agree, Lane seems solid, dependable, composed, an all round great signing
