I think Marriott is a shout, but I wonder if one of these heads has come in with that in Parky's mind.
Perhaps there will be a look over early preseason to see who is taking the lead there and then we'll announce.
Wouldn't put it past Parky to give it to Osbourne though.

I reckon PP has Joey Jones in mind for the captaincy.

Roscoe or Byrne for me. But would give Kosy a nod in the form or VC.

Vital post in cricket. Not really that convinced it's so important in football. Anyone can call heads or tails and gee up their team mates. Discuss.

All successful teams need a leader - on the field and even off it.
Look at the job Moulty did for us in those respects.

Offering the Captaincy to a player whom the Manager/Coach feels is good but has untapped potential can be the catalyst that turns him from good to outstanding.

Reading the comments from Parky on the Joey Jones signing, I took them to be saying that he is the new captain. I could be seeing things that aren't there though!

Many many years ago we signed John King. He was immediately installed as captain and we never looked back. If a new player comes in and he is obvious captain material I see no problem with it.

Deeply unpopular with Dagenham fans, Grimsby thought he was rubbish... I get that we'll offer him the right environment but it's not exactly an absolutely guaranteed slam dunk is it?
Barely made a ripple when quietly released from an uninspiring Solihull team last season.
I obviously hope I'm being too sceptical, but I'm not sure I'd want to give the armband to anyone other than Isaac Marriott right now - the lad has earned it.

Just a gut feeling but I feel a bit nervous about Joey Jones.
Has to work, because Osborne is our back up and CM is often where games are won and lost.
Hopefully, he will prove our doubts wrong.
