Elliot Newby has been offered a new contract by Barrow

He would monster the evo league.

Miller should really

If he can be arsed playing, which he hasn't since he signed his contract in December...

That's a disgraceful comment. The guy is injured. It's not about whether he can be arsed or not. It's because he could be arsed and attacked the opposition so much that someone decided to take him out.

Whether the guy was fit or not at the end of last season is irrelevant. I'm glad he didn't play. I'd much rather, a lad who has been injured for the best part of 2 years, was fit and raring to go next season. The same goes for the likes of Deasy, Hannigan and Densmore. It looks like we're going to be taking a lot of risks, but if physio and keeper coach say they're ok, we just have to take their word for it.

Yeh?

Sorry, can't help being sceptical around injuries and contracts nowadays. Bit fed up with the shemozzles we've had over the last 18monthd You're right, probably just a coincidence.

Anyways, if he's been out injured for 5 months then recent comebacks and fitness in our squad then we shouldn't rely on him being back and if it is then treat it as a bonus.

For all the scepticism regarding players being rushed through recoveries, I find it funny that people are now complaining when they're taking their time to ensure their fitness - especially as the players in question, Sean Miller and Tom Hannigan, are with us next season and therefore owe us a solid campaign. All fans can agree that the season was over months ago, so whats the harm in them focusing on their rehabilitation? What do you want them to do, limp around the pitch to earn their keep? Its football. Players get injured. They've been turning up to games and sat in the stands in support.

Hoping that serially crocked players will suddenly find fitness in the new season strokes me as being over-optimistic.

Hold on a minute, I think you're being extremely harsh here. You can't just choose as and when as a club to pay your players. Also factor in the equation Miller was probably still required to turn up to training/ see the pyhsio etc.

I presume you'd expect to be paid by your employer(and or, the governments benefit for long term sick)  if you became ill etc and couldn't work?

It's not harsh we shouldn't be giving out 2 year contracts to injury prone players with no desire or commitment to get fit

These C**ts no better than Anthony Griffith - at least he f**ked off
