sorry this is bizarre, why are kendal putting players on two year contracts? has Graham Heathcote taken over as their manager?

I can't wait to see Keiran 'boom boom' Walmsley in action, i've heard great things about him. I really hope he doesn't wear blue F50's

Set piece specialist?

Remember the last one......

Glad I'm not the only one that's noticed that players labelled dead ball specialists tend to be anything but.

Kendal 3 Burscough 4 report excerpt: " the game burst to life in the 19th minute when Mark Beesley volleyed beyond Craig Dootson" **shudder**

Kendal 3 Burscough 4 report excerpt: " the game burst to life in the 19th minute when Mark Beesley volleyed beyond tamely lobbed the ball over shoulder height towards Craig Dootson and it floated into the net" **shudder**

You should know journalists try to dramatise events.

Because I'm sad I watched quite a view youtube videos of him he seems to enjoy a longshot, something we have missed this season.

Maybe they want him for next year to replace a regular who's in his last season,or think he's a prospective moneyraiser if he goes well here.

I agree, wtf are some village team in the lake district doing dishing them out ? Surely the consequences if some thing happened would outweigh a crap transfer fee if he is a talent...

Kendal manager obviously sad to lose him in this interview and describes as "possibly the best player in the division".

SPORT: WALMSLEY LEAVES KENDAL TOWN ON LOAN DEAL

Posted: January 6, 2012

Kendal Town FC have agreed a loan deal for Kieran Walmsley to play with Altrincham FC for the rest of the season.

Kieran will have the opportunity to refine his skills playing at a higher level with the Blue Square Bet North club who are pushing for promotion, returning to Kendal for the start of the 2012/13 season.

29 year old Kieran Walmsley has previously played for Fleetwood and Morecambe and signed a two year contract with Kendal Town at the start of the 2011/12 season.

In reply to the Gazelle, yes he is an excellent player in our League and was at Fleetwood as well.  Genuinely liked by the fans and he has scored some spectactular goals.  I've seen him score two in the last few season from his own half of the pitch, but he can also hit a free kick and is a great passer.  Sounds too good to be true?  Well, you just never know when a player changes clubs but his credentials and past performance speak for him.  As to why this move has come about, I really have no idea, as he will have been put in the Kendal team automatically unless injured/suspended.  Maybe it has been instigated by Kieran himself, as we have been very inconsistent this season and, for the first time in about four years, really don't have a realistic chance of reaching the play-offs.

From the posts on your forum sounds like you are after a decent fullback so I hope he does the job for you.  Would be delighted if you went back up again.  Have great memories of Moss Lane with the Gazelle and a few others in the 70s.

Also glad to see that we are going up in your estimation, as we are now described as a 'village' team, which is a bit better than the 'pub' team tag when we met in the FA cup a few years back!!

Best of luck for the season.
