York Alty - I love your disparaging names for clubs eg- Poxford. You do not seem to have one for Rushden however. Could you supply a full league list for the coming season of your adapted names so we can all refer to them in future correspondence ? Keep up the good work.

As soon as we know the reult of the AGM Cup I'll set to work.  It'll fill the hours...

not being a betting sort of chap I don't know what the odds are on the BSP play offs.  Any ideas?

First leg tomorrow night, I think the Damned Yorkists will need at LEAST a two goal margin.

Do away goals count double?

Purely for financial reasons to help our share of the gate from the Final. The ideal final is LUTON TOWN v. OXFORD UNIED.

george,

Whilst I can see your reasoning there, you could also argue that it would be best for us if Rushden & Diamonds were to achieve promotion, as, of the four teams that are contesting the play-offs, they bring the smallest number of away supporters to Moss Lane.

Seriously though, it would be bizzare if Rushden did win the playoffs. Despite their short visit to the league previously this would leave all the ex league clubs down here, and long established conference clubs up!! We are going to be top heavy with ex league clubs if this continues.

The game should have been postponed. It was played in a monsoon. Lancaster finished 21 points in front of Colwyn Bay but missed out on promotion. I think it is time to scrap the play offs.
