Alfreton Town match/predictions
« on: October 31, 2014, 08:24:30 AM »

As has been said elsewhere, every game is a big game. Key league fixture again tomorrow, most of those around us have tough assignments tomorrow. A vital win could put some daylight between ourselves and those below us. I'm not falling for the alfreton injury crisis rhetoric, they managed to put a full team and compliment on subs out at lincoln, apart from the obvious goalkeeping issue.

Same starting line up as the last two, and hopefully we can get the win. Do think once m williams returns from Stalybridge that a couple of others could do with a run of games on loan somewhere.

Prediction

Alty 2-1 Alfreton on a nervy afternoon

Such an important game this one. Win this and there is some real daylight between us and Alfreton.

I think as well other than the Welling debacle our home displays have been pretty decent  and not that I went but I believe we dominated large parts of the game at their place. With that in mind I'm predicting a 2-0 win to Alty with a gate of 957 with 46 drunk yokels from the hills in the away end.

Kyle Perry 3 - 0 Alfreton.

Goalkeeper rooted to the spot for every one.

Yes, sorry.  The keeper will dive for one but get nowhere near it.

2-0 up and in charge with 70 mins gone.

Then a typically soft goal to ensure a painful last twenty minutes, but a win nonetheless.

BTW, Ryan Crowther has some time off sick doesn't he? He'd be on attendance management by now, in the real world.

He and I have an unofficial competition as to who can go the longest without playing for their respective team.

Little does he know, I have age (ironically) on my side.

After conceding in the first attack mounted by Alfreton after 8 minutes, we huff and puff to no avail for the rest of the first half.

Sinnott blisters the paint off the dressing room walls, and we go on to win 3-1 (Clee, Reeves, Lawrie)

1003 hardy souls in attendance.
