Disappointing at this early stage that we are a few hundred or so down on the last 2 seasons but if we keep our form up no doubt we’ll go over 2k average again this season. Only really Chesterfield who’ve bought a large away support so far too. It’s a real shame that Rochdale, Hartlepool & York are all Tuesday night home games mind, that doesn’t help.

Very likely we will remain in our current 11th place all season seeing we are 400 , 500 and 900 respectively behind the 3 next highest .

After a post-pandemic boom, attendances across the lower leagues do seem to be down this year.

Cost of living starting to bite? The weather's probably been below-par for the early season too, casual floaters might not have bothered?

I'm slightly worried after the money outlay from the board, going full-time etc, we're going to end up with a shortfall unless we get a big increase in attendances. I've noticed a few people from the club on social media urging people to go to games and I just hope we haven't gambled too much at this stage.

Losing Wrexham and Notts county wouldn’t have helped either!

I'm hopeful home games with Rochdale and Oldham will bump the average up to just under the 2k mark which, a few years ago, was beyond our wildest dreams.
If we can win this weekend and get on a lucrative run that would help enormously.

Also the fact that every game is now available to stream could well be hitting attendances. (In theory no Saturday 3pm games are available in the UK but all you need to get round that is a VPN).
