Yeah - Me taking 4 kids ! There is a bar at the 'missing fourth side' which is a bit like a Weatherspoons. Went in a couple of years ago in my full Alty fancy dress and the locals seemed friendly enough until it kicked off at the end of the game. The ground is a bit isolated other than that as it is part of a modern retail park.

The ground is a long way out of town, a cab or bus job certainly. If you like decent ale and pleasant surroundings I'd have a couple in town and ring for a cab about 2:00.

Im getting the train, but get there about 12ish. As for the ground, there arent really any pubs nearby, the number 5 runs from the city centre to knights road, (about a 5 min walk from there) otherwise a taxi will cost around 10-15 quid.

Best bet, have a couple in a quaint pub in oxford and stagger to the bus.

Stick to the City, quant as it might be hell is only around the corner.

London Alty hit the station at 12:18, turn left out of the station and walk to the right of the playhouse. iirc there is a decent pub down there on the left next to a babbling brook.
