Oh dear - the shame - Maths graduate hangs head for posting complete &*^%&.  Credit to Mick for showing me up in PM rather than deserved public humiliation.

I will redeem myself by pointing out that the odds quoted are for getting all the numbers you chose correct - so to get 8-1 you pick one number and it has to come up (actual chances 10-1)

I hereby sentence you to 30 hours community service explaining the joys of laplace transformations, fourier series and lagrange multipliers to bored students. Alternatively you can calculate the odds of Jim Rushe paying his next tax bill or calculate what percentage complete towards purchasing the Victoria Stadium Jim will be at next month.
