I remember travelling up from London to Chorley that memorable day in November 85.  Puzzled head scratching "whos the number 3?" Similar to the feeling at Great Harwood when Tobin and Garrity made their debuts.  These days I expect to not recognise 2 players every time I see us play.  Gone are the days when you could win the league with  a squad of 14.  It would be interesting to know how we would have fared in the 70's with 5 subs.
