Aaron Burns is crap anyway - scores a few good goals but for a striker of his 'calibre' 8 goals in 14 at Unibond One level is hardly setting the world alight!

was thinking that myself

He wont score the goals they need to catch FARSLEY  ;D ;D ;D ;D

and its hardly a disgrace in a team that might not set up many chances.

You've obviously not seen him play then?  He gets plenty of chances; I'm not sure if he had one eye on his 'big' move but for the last 5/6 games he's been pulling out of tackles left right and centre.

If Stuart Rudd had the same chances, I daresay that he would've converted about 15 of them.

Skems Tony Evans would have been a better option for us than Aaron Burns anyway. He signed for Witton today, which pissed me off!

Or playing in front of 2,500 vocal supporters?   ???

From what I can tell, he makes a fairly decent living but travels a lot.  Playing at a higher level would mean he wouldn't be able to travel as much for his job and he'd most likely lose out financially.

Skelmersdale had 2,500 vocal supporters while he was there. Really?

Do you think it ever bothers your players when you sing songs about "real" United players, (eg. Solskjaer, Cantona)?

I'm not having a pop here, but I genuinely feel that your players must find this a bit odd.

I think most footballers would kill to play in an 11,600 capacity all seater stadium thats not even a 1/4 full...............

I can't help but wonder of the 2.5k are there to not support MUFC rather than actually support FCUM

The fact that half the ones who went to Droyslden earlier this season actually stayed in the bar to watch MUFC in the second half speaks volumes.

Joz Mitten is a legend at FCUM. Says it all really. Anyway they only got 2,011 yesterday, probably because Big United were on telly at 5.15, and going to Gigg Lane would have meant missing it.

As for Stuart Rudd needing to play at his current level because of work commitments, i'm not aware that being part-time in Unibond North South (or is it South North) is any more part-time than, say, Conference North. Basically he went to Burscough and couldn't hack it. Still nothing wrong with playing your football just because you enjoy it, and not for the money.
