Final PSFs annouced

Slightly diaappiinting pre season....I think we're playing the right sorts of teams, just underwhelmed by the clubs picked.

But it should provide the team with a decent workout

Sat 13 July H ACCRINGTON STANLEY

Tue 16 July H TRANMERE XI

Tue 23 July A Trafford

Sat 27 July H FC HALIFAX

Tue 30 July A Mossley

Fri 2 Aug H WREXHAM

Sat 10 Aug H BURNLEY XI

Once I saw the Barcelona and Juventus were missing it was always going to be a little flat.

Seems standard fare to me, decent mix of teams.

Quite happy with that. Nice to see us having Burnley again. I may actually get to Mossley this year, as I think it just about works around me going away. I always seem to miss that one whenever we play them.

We only actually have a choice in terms of the teams we visit.

Who comes to us is down to which teams accept our invitation so we may well have asked Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea and Barcelona they just don't wanna come

How I yearn for those exotic pre-season friendlies of yore against the likes of Mazda and the Malawi National XI.

The prospect of a visit by Accrington Stanley just doesn't set the pulse racing quite as fast in comparison....

would have like to seen a United or City XI as it certainly boosts the turnout, but can't complain with the type/quality of opposition.

slightly surprised we didn't get a friendly against a Sunderland XI as part of the Watmore deal.

City or United ones tend to get slotted in at quite late notice if they get arranged in my experience so you never know.

Whenever I think of City friendlies I always think back to the job Paul Jones did on Craig Bellamy. Yes it was a friendly but what a performance.  The charlatan!!

Yes but didnt that show how misleading PSF's can be really. A couple of good tackles doesnt make a player a worldbeater,...and I fell for that just as we all did at the time.

Decent enough, shame we barely play anyone away these days.

Games against Accrington, Halifax and Wrexhan are far more beneficial than trotting around against some premier league u21 outfit.

I'm not arsed as long as we hit the ground running on August 17th. Anything else is irrelevant.
