Hopefully Droylsden away, brilliant day out.
-
anyone in the eastmidlands would be wonderful
-
Smallest team possible at home to get a decent 1st round draw later. Plus the cash that goes with it.
-
When's the draw made?
Monday?
-
It'll be Monday, either 11 or 1pm, seems to vary.
-
Anyone beatable at home, then Chester away in round 1 would be fantastic (don't care who we get in round 2)
-
i agree, droylsden would be absolutely brilliant :)
-
We will be away.
To a BSP side.
It won't be local either.
That is all.
-
4TH Q round is regionalised so it will be local and shouldnt be any futher away than Kendal last season
Would prefer a lower league team at home but would like to avoid a banana skin such as Nantwich
1st Round would like a League team that we would be expected to beat such as Rochdale, Macc or Chester
-
Belper Town 4 Prescot Cables 1
Guiseley 3 Sheffield 3
Buxton 0 Blyth Spartans 1
Curzon Ashton 4 Mossley 3
Retford United 1 Newcastle Benfield 0
Droylsden 3 Gateshead 2
Eastwood Town 2 Harrogate Town 2
Alfreton Town 0 Ilkeston Town 0
Stalybridge Celtic 1 Durham City 6
Fleetwood Town 2 Frickley Athletic 0
Whitley Bay 1 Nantwich Town 5
Newcastle Blue Star v Hucknall Town -playing Sunday
Southport 0 Boston United 2
-
That Stalybridge result is frightening. Everyones giving it the big 'an unknown club' and easy passage to 1st round shout, but we could be suprised. We only JUST about got past Kendal last year.
Away at Fleetwood Town would suit me :)
-
i cant wait to give it the old, "she wore a scarlet ribbon."
-
If I'm honest, I don't want a team lower than us, because they will get themselves up for it and play better against a team in a higher division. Unless it's Belper Town
-
it'll be york away
-
It will Droylsden home or away. I'm going to enjoy watching Sewnior, Denham and Elam ripping them apart down our right.
-
I to think Droylsden away
-
I went to the Droylsden game yesterday and if we do draw them we certainly have nothing to fear, it was a flurry of speculative passes wayward shots and general panicking. Brownhill looks suitably average, yet it was a bit hard to judge as no player was given any decent length of time on the ball.
-
If we draw any of theses it would be class
Hucknall Town
Alfreton Town
Ilkeston town
Retford united
Belpher Town
Hinkley United
-

It won't be local RA.
Would you count Tamworth or Rushden as being local to Altrincham then?
-

I second that.
But I think we will get Nantwich away in the fourth qualifying round
-
Havant and Waterlooville away would suit me. I could walk to that!
-
I'd like Droylsden away or Curzon Ashton (2 mins from my house!)
If we're going to draw a BSP team - we'll take Vics?! Would add a bit more spice to a derby game...
-
Anyone at home.

He wanted to play for a more attacking team who would get a few results!
-
I can think of few worse draws we could get than Droylsden away!
-

I'm on the Isle of Wightand supported Alty for 50 years. Didn't realise there was another Alty fan so close to the IW.
Went to Salisbury last Tuesday as this was almost local for me. We're having a great run long may it continue.

Did you get the Red Funnel Ferry???
-
Northwich away
-
Ferry form Yarmouth to Lymington, train to Salisbury came back on the Red Funnel though
-
I predicted Kendal right last year!!! This time, it'll be Nantwich, but I'd love Vics or Droylsden.

I'm going to Weymouth on Saturday if you fancy it. I could meet you off the ferry in Pompey or Southampton.

Ah yes, Brownhill :)
-
Blyth Spartans AWAY
but hopefully v*cs at home.
-
I originally predicted Southport or Stalybridge away, then both were unceremoniously dumped out. I have a slight worry that we'll get Rushden away, but I'd love Vics at home followed by Leeds away or Macc at home in First Round Proper.
-

I wonder if any other Alty fans have travelled by ferry to watch games....Uncle Globnasty perhaps!
-
Blyth Spartans AWAY
Near, very near! ;)
-
I think we'll get an away tie against someone we've never played before.
What time's the draw?

It has been known when slightly more affluent (it really requires bringing the car and that is a luxury I can't afford now when travelling alone). These days it has to be budget airline travel all the way.
