Nicky Clee was superb last night at left mid and left back and battled on injured for a while too! He also played well at Kettering on Saturday.

Rocket Dan : have you learned to love him just a little now ?

No way trying to be wise after the event but I knew he had to be better than he started off or he would never have been signed.

Still delighted by last night.  Of course to the outside world its just a 0-0 but for us to do that with such a scratch team, with low confidence from Saturday against a team that were flying is so good.

That was also the sixth game on the run that Cambridge had fielded an unchanged side.

The positives for me is that Dino posted a positive post. YAY  ;D

A great result for us.

Now we have Crawley, Grays and Tamworth.

Crawley will be a hard game I feel, Grays the most likely that we will pick up points and Tamworth looks like it could be difficult (they are flying).

If we can get 4 points from the next 2 games I will be happy.

I will hold my hands up and confess had doubts over Nicky Clee .. I saw him at Kettering and he played well, and again last night
I was wrong.
Probably why I am not a football manager  ;)
Well done Nicky, keep it going lad.

from where i was sat in the main stand, i thought the cambridge supporters were generous in their appraisal of our performance. they appreciated the honest efforts of the team, and were frustrated with their own lack of penetration.

did anybody have problems circumnavigating the A14 on the return journey? i was heading rapidly towards newmarket

Sat in the main stand?  Why did you want to sit surrounded by home fans?

I never stopped trying, he was quite good at kettering.

I'm guessing its now he is starting rather than coming off the bench.
