Can we get him back?

Wikpedia: "Despite his crucial contribution to the Victory's triumphant campaign, he was not offered a new contract and will not be part of the 2007-08 squad. Victory coach Ernie Merrick said the loss of Robinson from the team was due to his Australian visa conditions."

mmm think that there is a limit on overseas players in the A league so that why Victory released him....bit unlucky he looked pretty sharp the games i did see him in. But to go and sign for a state league team after all the publicity he would have go after scoring the winning goal in the semi ? seems a bit strange ...maybe hes trying to get full time residence in Australia ? You would think he could definitley return at conf national level at least maybe league 2.
As an FYI a lot of these state league clubs are very well funded ...they have all sorts of tax breaks and inevitably have "pokie" gambling machines which generate significant revenue to put it mildly....so there may not be that much reason to return to the UK for financial reasons.
He may be trying to do what he did in Victoria sign for a state team and try and get picked up by the local A league team (Adelaide United).....he will still face the same problem of being included in the A - league overseas quota if he does that ....?? be interesting to see what happens

ok had a look at the 442 website and it says hes signed for Marconi in Sydney for a 3 month stint with a view to trying to get a look in at A league level. In Sydney and surrounds he has Sydney FC , Central Coast Mariners and the Newcastle Jets to aim for in the A league.....
