Didn't see the Lincoln match, but Bailey was outstanding in the previous round against Charlton.  But do we need a central defender ? Whether they've anybody else worth looking at is extremely debatable !

Totally agree, we obviously need a left back now. Possibly a loan signing, similar to the one of Scott Moffatt from United (though he didn't do much for us), anyway back to Mat Bailey, he's 6 foot 5 too!

What on earth is going on at Vics? I simply don't understand how the fans haven't been kicking off royally about having full time players on their books? I know that attendances have been down, but WOW, three players on full time terms, since going down to the CN?!

Northwich have made these players available because the penny finally seems to have dropped that they can't afford them as they are full time and on big wages. I think you can rule out any of them coming to Moss Lane unless they are willing to go part time and take a big pay cut. In any case i think the only one we would be remotely interested in is Ryan Brown and that is only because we are now desperate for a left back!

I think it's another measure of just how far we've come and with the quality of players that we have. I remember everyone (including me) being very excited when Elam came to ML. We saw it as a real step forward.

As we know know, the real step forward was to have improved sufficiently so as to not be interested in signing a player with an attitude like his.
